Dr. Haris Haq, Ph.D. is a Strategy Consultant at GTSC. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University (GSU), an M.S. in Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics from the University of Georgia, and a Ph.D. in English, Rhetoric & Composition also from GSU. Haris’s dissertation research centered around English Education Policy in Türkiye, a country he has strong personal and professional connections to. Prior to joining GTSC, Haris was on the Student Success staff at GSU, where he was involved in coordination and research of its retention and academic Chatbots.   

At GTSC, Haris is currently heavily involved in Strategy Implementation for the Institute Strategic Priorities (ISPs). He also plays a large role in internal process efficiency, knowledge management, and Toolkit development. Outside of work, Haris is actively involved in the Atlanta Muslim community and serves in a leadership role at Muslim Americans for Public Service (MAPS), as a Chief of Practice. He is happily married to his wife, Betül, and enjoys spending time with her, Pilates, cooking, and mentoring others.
