Strategy Development & Implementation

Strategy Matters – Creating and Implementing Actionable Plans to Achieve and Sustain Success
Strategy Development and Implementation lays the foundation by setting clear, ambitious goals and creating actionable plans to achieve them. This strategic direction ensures that all efforts are aligned with the broader organizational vision, providing a roadmap for success.

Georgia Tech Strategic Consulting (GTSC) collaborates with the Georgia Tech community.
Georgia Tech Strategic Consulting (GTSC) collaborates with the Georgia Tech community to develop and implement strategic and operational plans that align with Institute priorities and include clearly defined goals, objectives, strategies, tactics, success metrics, timelines, and owners for each major effort. While we work primarily on enterprise-level strategies, we help divisional and college leaders create plans that align with the Institute strategy.
By guiding and facilitating Strategy Development & Implementation, GTSC helps leaders turn big-picture goals into focused action by making sure everyone knows the plan and how to contribute to success. We strive to bring clarity and alignment to strategy, helping leaders move from ideas to action in a way that gets results.
The expected outcomes of our work in these areas include:
Strategy Development
- Institute-wide vision, goals, and priorities are clearly communicated and understood across all levels.
- Division and College priorities are aligned with the Institute strategy.
- New products or services are based on student/learner/customer needs, market/revenue opportunities, and cost/benefit.
- Structures and resources are aligned with institutional priorities.
Strategy Implementation
- Strategic priorities achieve the intended outcomes and impact.
- Collaboration and resource sharing occurs between and across initiatives and units.
- Visibility, recognition, and accountability for progress and outcomes are consistent.
- Clear definition of outcomes, metrics, roles/responsibilities, actions/assignments.
- Strategic institute investments are made wisely and yield the intended benefits.

“In addition to sheer expertise in facilitation and strategic alignment from GTSC, we appreciate the deeper partnership they offered, which allowed us to re-open atrophied lines of communications and have deeper discussions about the future of the College. This took time, dedication, and a deft touch to account for some aspects of the previous interactions. Now we can foster a proper long-term relationship that will provide the support and strategic alignment our College needs to be successful.”
